Spelling Bee
champ, young Jennifer, has been invited on a late-night talkshow. After a brief
chat with the host, Jennifer abruptly stands and looks directly at the camera.
She addresses her TV audience…
JENNIFER: “This
message is for the people of Kansas. If you’re over eighteen, living in Kansas,
and don’t want to live by kids’ rules, then you need to find some other place
to stay. We’re taking over Kansas but we don’t want to harm nobody. Adults don’t
have to leave just as long as they can listen to us kids. Thank you.”
The
following day, the adults of Kansas react to Jennifer’s message…
In a wheat
field near Wichita, two farmers are shooting the breeze as they casually stroll
through the field inspecting the wheat. We eavesdrop on their conversation…
FARMER
1: “Did ya’ hear that lit’l girl on the
late show last night?”
FARMER 2: “Yup,
she seems smart as I don’t know what – spelling ‘em big words ‘an all but looks
like she’s missing a few screws upstairs though.”
FARMER
1: “I said this years ago, it’s all that
sugar they put on kids’ cereal nowadays. Just makin’ ‘em crazy.”
